USTA Junior Team Tennis (JTT) @ PALY

Competitive training + Supervised team match play

What is JTT (Junior Team Tennis)?

JTT offers organized and coach-supervised team match play for juniors during the Fall, Spring and Summer seasons. Players form teams of 4 or more and compete against other local teams. Click here to learn more about JTT in NorCal.

Through supervised practices and match play with live, college-style coaching, students will gain valuable match experience, competition management techniques and team camaraderie that propel them to higher levels of junior tennis.

Anyone under age 18 with yellow ball match play experience can form a team or join an existing one. To join JTT @ PALY, you don’t have to be a Palo Alto High School student. We welcome students from other schools and other cities as long as they can make it to training and matches.

If you don’t already have a team, we will help to group you with others looking for team members as well.

If you join a team, we ask that you also sign up for at least one Mon-Sat training session, in addition to Sunday matchplay. Sunday sessions are led by coaches from the Fruttero Academy.

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thurs and Friday training sessions are $100 per 2-hr session with a 10-session package - register for sessions here. Otherwise drop-in rates are $125/session.

  • Parents who want to get more involved can volunteer as team captains who will take care of team registration, coordination, court bookings and and coaching. This approach allows the registered team to only pay for the court fees for home games, at whichever location is reserved (3 courts required). All captains/volunteers must be Safe Play approved throughout the season. Click here for information on USTA Safe Play.

  • Deadline: Please sign up and complete your registration of interest by Tues Aug 12, 6 pm as we need some time to group interested players into teams and submit the team roster to USTA by Aug 17.
